I Can Quit Whenever I Want 3 marks the third and final instalment of Sydney Sibilia’s mini-saga following the adventures Italy’s most wanted band of academics, who became drug dealers out of necessity. Now, the ramshackle group will have to deal with their most terrifying adversary yet: Walter Mercurio. The problem - the whole group is in prison.
Grieving the loss of his partner in a deadly lab explosion caused in part by his university’s neglect, Mercurio has obtained a deadly nerve gas and plans to use it on an upcoming gathering of Italy’s elite academics. Only Molecular research scientist Pietro Zinni (Edoardo Leo, also in Just Believe) and his gang of academics can stop him. But this time, they’re not alone, they’ll need the help of their longstanding arch nemesis; Claudio Felici AKA Il Murena (“The Moray Eel”) to help them anticipate Mercurio’s movements and neutralise the attack.
It’s Ocean’s 11 meets Prison Break meets Breaking Bad in this smartly written comedy, which reunites the superstar cast including Festival Guest Valeria Solarino, Libero De Rienzo and Stefano Fresi.
